Inge Günther
Born 1953 in Waldbroel, Rhineland, Germany.
Since July 2005 bureau-chief in the Jerusalem office of “Frankfurter Rundschau”.
2004-2005: sabbatical in California, reporting as a freelancer from the West Coast for German newspapers.
1996: Jerusalem correspondent for Frankfurter Rundschau and other German dailies (Koelner Stadtanzeiger, Berliner Zeitung).
1992-1995: Member of Berlin Office of Frankfurter Rundschau; in addition articles published in weeklies like Die Zeit and Wochenpost.
1988 -1992: One year of professional training in journalism (Voluntariat), then working as news editor in Frankfurter Rundschau.
1982-1988: After working as a teacher first articles published in Pflasterstrand, a city magazine in Frankfurt, and in Frankfurter Rundschau.
Studies of pedagogic for disabled children in Cologne and Frankfurt.
Inge Gunther was honored twice with a prize for her work as Israel correspondent: The special prize of the Alexander-Foundation in Germany in 2004; 2006 the professional Medium-Magazin chose her to the Top Ten of best reporters.
